Event narrative (NOAA)

A fatal crash occurred on US-93 at mile marker 87. The call for the crash was dispatched at 19:47 MST. This crash on the S-curves, south of Missoula, occurred as snow showers were impacting the area. Roads had become snow-covered. Observations from near the area show temperatures dropping from just above freezing to just below around the time of the crash.
