Snowfall amounts of 0.5 to 1.5 inches and ice accumulations of up to 0.20 inches were observed across western Loudoun County, mainly across the higher elevations. There was one direct fatality when a 52-year old woman in northeastern Loudoun County was killed from a falling branch outside of her home due to weight from ice on the tree limbs. The elevation of the incident was approximately 680 feet.
