Event narrative (NOAA)

One to two inches of ice accumulated across Reno County during the ice storm. This resulted in approximately 2000 downed power poles and 7900 downed lines. Damage to the electrical infrastructure is estimated at $37.5 million. There was also widespread damage to trees but the cost of the damage is unknown.
