A child was left in a hot car along Pine Tree Dr in the northeastern part of Birmingham during the afternoon hours and passed away due to heat-related impacts. Heat indices at nearby Birmingham-Shuttlesworth International Airport reached 100-105��F for several hours during the afternoon.
