Event narrative (NOAA)

Triple digit temperatures were recorded nearly every day during the month of August. According to the medical examiner, one person died on the 12th as a result of the heat. A heat advisory was in effect for several days during the month after the Excessive Heat Warning ended on the morning of the 6th.
