Event narrative (NOAA)

The Cooper River at Haddonfield had major flooding and its second highest crest on record, second only to July 12, 2004. The river was above its 2.8 foot flood stage from 1034 p.m. EDT on the 27th through 700 p.m. EDT on the 28th. It crested at 5.89 feet at 530 a.m. EDT on the 28th. The Big Timber Creek also flooded along the border with Gloucester County. Event rainfall totals included 6.23 inches in Stratford, 4.51 inches in Berlin Township, 4.00 inches in Haddon Heights, and 3.51 inches in Winslow Township.
