Event narrative (NOAA)

A 31-year-old male snowboarder was killed in an avalanche in Dutch Draw. Weather was generally fair the day of the avalanche, with light winds and temperatures in the mid 20s. However in the week leading up to the avalanche, there were two storms, one bringing 1-4 inches of snow, and the second bringing 8-10 inches of snow with strong winds.
