Avalanche — Wasatch Mountains South Of I-80, Utah

A group of six snowshoers were traveling just north of Tibble Fork Reservoir in American Fork Canyon when they triggered a small avalanche. One of the snowshoers, a 21-year-old female, was swept away and buried in the snow. While she was able to be resuscitated, she passed away the next day in an area hospital.
