Event narrative (NOAA)

The Sacramento Bee newspaper reported that a 21-year-old skier died in an avalanche in the Sierra on Christmas morning. The newspaper reported that the skier's body was found buried following an avalanche in the Red Dog area at Squaw Valley Ski Resort. The victim was a resident of Tahoe City.
