Event narrative (NOAA)
A cold front swung through the region late on April 19th, causing temperatures to rapidly drop through the day on Sunday. Rain quickly changed to snow above 4,000 ft elevation, and strong winds caused wind chills to drop below freezing by the afternoon on the 19th. A man was caught unprepared for the conditions on Mount Washington and become hypothermic. The man was found deceased many days later when reported missing.
