Event narrative (NOAA)
Snow began falling the morning of February 11th. After a lull for about 24 hours...more snow fell before ending as freezing rain the morning of February 13th. Snowfall amounts ranged from one to three and a half inches will about a tenth of an inch of ice accumulation. A man was found dead on a baseball field on Leesburg Street in Hartsville, not far from his apartment. An autopsy found that he died from hypothermia.
