The White River and Irving Peak Fires began after a lightning storm passed through the Okanogan-Wenatchee National Forest on August 11 and was active through September. The Irving Peak and White River fires are located approximately 15 miles northwest of Plain, WA. They have burned around 11120 acres of timber.
