Event narrative (NOAA)
Winds gusted between 35 and 55 mph for several hours. A gust to 53 mph was recorded on the Canton AWOS (KCNI) at 4:15 AM EST. The Cherokee County Emergency Manager reported numerous trees blown down across the county. A tree fell onto a mobile home killing a 22 year old male near Acworth.
