Event narrative (NOAA)
Rainfall from Fay varied between six and 14 inches. There were numerous downed trees and power lines throughout the county. Fifteen single family homes and six mobile homes were damaged by fallen trees and flooding. Several county roads were impassable due to debris, with some dirt roads undermined by flood waters. U.S. Highway 90 at the Little River and U.S. Highway 27 at Interstate 10 were closed due to flooding.
