Event narrative (NOAA)

A tornado tracked northeast into Tippah County from Benton County. The tornado continued northeast crossing into Hardeman County, Tennessee. Numerous homes were damaged along County Road 301 near the intersection of County Road 303, along Highway 72 east of Walnut and near Brownfield. In total 5 homes were destroyed. Trees and power lines were knocked down in the area as well.
