Event narrative (NOAA)

A tornado began 3 miles south of Pocahontas and tracked east into Greene County. In Shannon, three businesses and five homes were destroyed. Another two businesses and two homes had major damage. Eighteen other homes had minor damage. The tornado produced F1 type damage in Randolph County.
