Event narrative (NOAA)

The tornado that started in Roane County continued into Loudon County and moved through the town of Lenoir City. Between 15 and 20 homes were destroyed and another 144 homes were damaged. Eighteen businesses were damaged or destroyed. A woman was killed as the tornado destroyed her home. Numerous trees and power lines were knocked down. (F82P)
