Event narrative (NOAA)

A severe thunderstorm knocked down a few trees and tree limbs in Shamong Township. A 47-year-old woman died while camping at the Atsion Recreation Area within the township. A tree snapped and fell on top of a tent she as well as a 51-year-old man and 31-year-old woman were taking shelter within. The latter two suffered minor injuries. Another downed tree damaged a vehicle within the town.
