Event narrative (NOAA)

The outflow wind gust was funneled between 2 adjacent buildings along Piedmont Road in Huntington. A man was sitting outside on his second floor apartment landing, reading his Bible. The wind blew out a window unit from the adjacent building and dropped onto him. The 73 year old man was killed.
