Event narrative (NOAA)

Thunderstorm winds downed many trees near Apple Valley Lake in northeastern Knox County. A vehicle travelling on U.S. 36 just west of Howard was struck by a falling tree. A two year old female inside the car was killed and four other occupants were seriously injured.
