Event narrative (NOAA)
Cold frontal passage and spring thunderstorms through Interior Central California during the afternoon hours resulted in low snow levels in shower activity. In the Kern Mountains, snow clogged Interstate-5 with 1-inch of snow caused a traffic death near Lebec.
