Event narrative (NOAA)
Downburst winds blew down dozens of trees. A tree fell on a car on route 27 just south of Garland, fatally injuring the 21 year old female driver, critically injuring the second female passenger, and seriously injuring the third. Close by another tree fell and completely smashed an unoccupied auto. Just to the east of Garland, a barn was partially unroofed and a silo was damaged.
