Event narrative (NOAA)

A high school mesonet site north of Wauwatosa measured a wind gust of 42 knots (48 mph). An 80 year-old Wauwatosa man was seriously injured when a tree limb, estimated to weigh 1000 pounds, struck him in his back yard. He later died from his injuries. The limb knocked the man's garage off its foundation.
