Event narrative (NOAA)
A six to eight foot storm surge caused severe beach erosion. It damaged all 56 public dune walkovers and many beach front homes and condos. One home was destroyed. Scenic Gulf Drive to the Okaloosa County line, County Road 30A at Oyster Lake and Fort Panic, and Bell Drive were washed out. Reported by the Walton County EMA.
