Event narrative (NOAA)
A newspaper reported that a 59-year-old tourist was spending time with his 9-year-old son and 12-year-old daughter at Jobos Beach when they were swept away by rip currents. Two surfers at the beach rescued the children and then returned to retrieve the father, whom they brought to shore, but he had no vital signs upon arrival.
