A 19 year old male went missing in the evening around 7:30 pm local time in the ocean at Jacksonville Beach. His body was recovered on Wednesday 5/31. Ocean lifeguards likely contributed to the drowning. Big sandbars and sloughs were reported as well. There was a high rip current risk in effect. Surf was expected to be 4-6 ft per the surf zone forecast.
