Event narrative (NOAA)

A 58 year old male local resident was pulled from the surf unresponsive near the Daytona Beach Bandshell, which is located in the 400 Block of North Atlantic Avenue in Daytona Beach. With few witnesses around, it is unclear if the man was struggling in the water before he was spotted. He was later pronounced dead at a local hospital.
