Event narrative (NOAA)

Emergency crews reported three swimmers entered the water on J.P. Luby Beach just before 5 PM on the 10th when they began to struggle near the Packery Channel north jetty. One swimmer, a 26-year old male, went missing and his body was later recovered on June 11th. The swimmer's location to the jetty implies localized rip currents were a contributing factor.
