Event narrative (NOAA)

A 35 year old man visiting Padre Island drowned in a rip current on the afternoon of the 28th. Emergency crews were sent to Beach Marker 230 near Bob Hall Pier. The man was pronounced dead at Bay Area Hospital in Corpus Christi.
