Event narrative (NOAA)

Several teenagers jumped from a seawall into the Atlantic Ocean near Haulover Cut in the area of 10500 Collins Avenue around 11:30 AM EDT. The teenagers reported a strong current which quickly carried away an 18 year male, who was reported missing to local Fire-Rescue. His body was later recovered around 5:45 PM EDT.
