Event narrative (NOAA)

Multiple media sources reported a 30-year old Georgia man drowned after being caught in a rip current, south of Cardinal Avenue in Ormond Beach. An off-duty lifeguard was in the area and pulled the man from the Alantic. Another woman who was trapped in the rip current was rescued.
