Event narrative (NOAA)
A 17-year-old young man went missing at the Gulf Stream Park Beach in Boynton Beach, presumed to be swept away by a rip current. Rescue efforts both Friday afternoon and Saturday were unsuccessful and the Coast Guard suspended its search efforts a few days later.
