Event narrative (NOAA)

Strong rip currents occurred along Padre and Mustang Islands during the late afternoon and evening hours on the 21st. A female swimmer was caught in a rip current near Padre Balli Park ��� Beach Marker 230 on Padre Island, and drowned.
