Event narrative (NOAA)

A sixty six year old male from the local area jumped in the gulf to rescue a kid who was having trouble in the rough water. The youngster was brought ashore and was okay. The male drowned in the rough surf. Yellow flags were flying along the beach at the time of the drowning.
