Event narrative (NOAA)
Lightning struck a 31 year old woman and mother of two in the front yard of her home. She was knocked unconscious. She was later pronounced dead at the hospital. Her children were also in the yard at the same time, but only her 5 year old son got struck. He received a first degree burn to his foot. The 6 year old daughter had no injuries.
