Event narrative (NOAA)

Numerous trees and power lines were blown down. Nearly 80% of the towns of Keaton Beach and Steinhatchee were destroyed due to a combination of wind and surge. A mandatory evacuation was ordered for the entire county, and no fatalities or injuries occurred during the storm.
