Event narrative (NOAA)
There was a voluntary evacuation from the parish. Numerous trees and power lines were blown down across the parish. Homes and businesses were damaged from fallen trees or wind. All of the parish was without power immediately after the storm. A 64-year-old female died from a fallen tree. Two persons died from carbon monoxide poisoning (indirect deaths). Wind gusts ranged from 80 to 120 mph.
