Event narrative (NOAA)

Sustained winds of 30-40 mph blew through the Carquinez Strait during the afternoon and early evening hours. A motorcyclist traveling on I-680 was pushed off the highway near Marshview Road by a stronger gust at approximately 5:25 pm and died of his injuries.
