Event narrative (NOAA)

At 1030 AM winds gusting to 45 mph and swell 3 to 4 feet capsized a boat on Fern Ridge reservoir. The sole occupant of the boat drowned, and his body was not recovered until April. Winds gusted to 60 mph at Veneta shortly after the boat capsized.
