Event narrative (NOAA)

A teenager drowned after being swept off the rocks at Laguna Creek Beach southeast of Davenport. A friend was also swept into the surf but was able to get out. This was the 3rd drowning near that same stretch of beach in the past 9 days https://www.kron4.com/news/bay-area/surf-rescue-underway-in-santa-cruz-officials/.
