Event narrative (NOAA)

Generally amounts of 8 to 16 inches of heavy, wet snow were reported generally around Brownsville southward, while lesser amounts of 1 to 4 inches were reported around Corvallis and Albany. The weight of the snow brought down hundreds, if not thousands of trees, resulting in numerous road closures and extended power outages. Heavy snow caused a roof to collapse at a high school gym.
