Event narrative (NOAA)

Snowfall in the Lower Snake River Plain on the evening of the 25th only measured 2 to 4 inches but the road problems it created caused one fatality. On the morning of the 26th, a Chubbuck man age 62 lost control of his pickup truck on Highway 39 near American Falls and slid into the opposite lane and was hit by an oncoming semi truck. Two accidents occurred on interstate 15 near Pocatello between midnight and 5 am on the 26th as well.
