Event narrative (NOAA)
Most of the county received 10-14 of snow; however, lesser totals around 7-8 were reported in the far southwestern portions of the county. A COOP Observer in Haslet measured a snowfall total of 14.4 which was the highest reported total from the event. Another COOP Observer in Keller reported a total snow of 9.5, and the COOP Observer in North Richland Hills reported a total snow of 11.5. At the NWS office in north Fort Worth, a total of 12.6 of snow fell, and DFW International Airport officially reported 12.5 of total snow which set several new climate records. Damaged and broken trees and tree limbs caused problems across the county. Nearly 100 accidents were reported by area law enforcements and even more vehicles slid off of roadways and required assistance. No injuries were reported.
