Event narrative (NOAA)
Hot temperatures 4 to 9 degrees degrees above normal were experienced across the Tucson Metro resulting in moderate Heat Risk. The Pima County Medical Examiner determined that heat was the primary cause of death of one individual found in the desert just south of Tucson on July 24. Heat was a contributing factor in the cause of death for two individuals in the Tucson area on July 24.
