Hot temperatures about 3 to 6 degrees above normal were experienced in the Tucson area July 18 through July 20, causing the Moderate Heat Risk category to be reached. The Pima County Medical Examiner confirmed that heat was the primary factor in the death of two individuals during this period and a contributing factor in two additional individuals.
