Hot temperatures about 3 degrees above normal were experienced on the Tohono O'odham Nation June 22, causing the Moderate Heat Risk category to be reached. Sells had a high of 99 degrees on June 22. The Pima County Medical Examiner confirmed that heat was the primary factor in the death of one individual found in the desert near Topawa.
