Temperatures 5 degrees above normal, just over 100 degrees, occurred in the Tucson Metro Area causing the Moderate Heat Risk category to be reached on August 29. The Pima County Medical Examiner confirmed that heat was the primary cause of death for one male found on the northwest side of Tucson.
