Temperatures 5 to 10 degrees above normal, from 104 to 108, occurred on the Tohono O'odham Nation causing the Moderate Heat Risk category to be reached on June 27. The Pima County Medical Examiner confirmed that heat was the primary cause of death for two males and one female found in different locations of the desert.
