Event narrative (NOAA)

Temperatures 10 to 15 degrees above normal, in the middle to upper 90s, occurred on the Tohono O'odham Nation causing the Moderate Heat Risk category to be reached on October 20th. The Pima County Medical Examiner confirmed that heat was the primary cause of death for one male near the International Border west northwest of San Miguel.
