Event narrative (NOAA)

Temperatures 10 to 15 degrees above normal, just over 100 degrees, occurred on the Tohono O'odham Nation causing the Moderate Heat Risk category to be reached on October 6th. The Pima County Medical Examiner confirmed that heat was the primary cause of death for one male near southeast of Cowlic.
